Monteverdi 1&2

Monteverdi is the OTB composer which allows building processing chains by selecting modules from a set of menus. It supports raster and vector data and gives access to OTB functionalities in a modular architecture. It was developed in 2009 for capacity building activities (teaching, simple image manipulation, etc.)

The software takes advantage of the streaming and multi-threading capabilities of the OTB pipeline. It also uses cool features as processing on demand and automagic file format I/O. The application is called Monteverdi, since this is the name of the Orfeo composerYou can find a complete description of this application here.

With this 4 years of lifetime, we have a lot of feedbacks regarding how useful the tool was, but also regarding what should be improved to move toward greater usability and operationnality. We therefore decided to rework the Monteverdi concept into a brand new software, enlightened by this experience.
